Biden won’t support a strike on Iran nuclear sites as Israel weighs response to Iran missile attack
Biden Says: Look, we’re going down to see what damage done. I’m going to be going back again to other states. Here’s the thing. You just. Natural disaster. Incredibly consequential. The last thing we need on top of that is a manmade disaster. What’s going on at the ports? We’re getting push back already, and we’re hearing from folks reasonably that’s having trouble getting into because of the port strike. Look, this is a consortium of basically six owners that control all the ports, all the way these folks down on the Gulf and, maybe they maybe incredible profits, over 800% profit since the pandemic. And the owners are making tens of billions of dollars, and that’s the last thing they need is to profit off this. It’s time for them to sit at the table and to get the strike done.
Look, I call the meeting of the G7 today. We’re working on a joint statement that all of us agree. From Japan to France to Germany, etc.. And what we’re doing in that regard and making it clear that there are things that have to be done. And It’s obviously Iran has gone way out of I mean, it’s way off court. We’re putting together a joint statement hasn’t been done yet, as we’ve done before, too long, probably by the time we land. And, there’s gonna be some sanctions imposed on Iran.
The answer is no. And I think there’s been… We’ll be discussing with the Israelis what they’re going to do, but all seven of us agree that they have a right to respond. But this response, of course.
