Researchers have uncovered archaeological evidence in Jerusalem that may confirm a Biblical account of a battle from 2,700 years ago between the Assyrian army and God’s forces. Led by King Sennacherib, the Assyrians aimed to capture Jerusalem but, according to the Bible, were struck down by an angel. Archaeologist Stephen Compton’s analysis linked ancient carvings with aerial imagery of Israel’s Ammunition Hill, suggesting it was the Assyrian encampment during this historic siege.
