In a shocking incident reported by India Today’s Nagarjun Dwarakanath, a 40-year-old software engineer, Balamurugan, allegedly shot dead his estranged wife, Bhuvaneshwari, in Bengaluru. The victim, an Assistant Manager at Union Bank of India, was intercepted near Magadi Road and shot four times. Nagarjun reports, ‘The police have said that the accused himself walked into the police station and confessed about the crime.’ The couple had been living apart for 18 months due to marital discord. Police investigations reveal the trigger was a recent divorce notice sent by the victim. Balamurugan has been arrested.
