The Karnataka government has exempted individual houses on 30×40 sites (1,200 sqft) within Greater Bengaluru Authority limits from needing an occupancy certificate (OC). This decision, announced Tuesday, applies to ground-plus-two or stilt-plus-three floor constructions. The move aims to reduce red tape for smaller residential projects following concerns about mandatory OCs.
