In his response, Premji highlighted legal, governance, and statutory challenges, stating the campus is private property and a Special Economic Zone with strict access control obligations to global clients. He also noted it would not be a sustainable long-term solution. The decision comes as the government faces criticism over its handling of civic issues, with one person reacting, "When you cannot do justice, why you want to be in power? This government is the worst government ever seen."
