Kristu Jayanti College initiated a Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate course for 15,000 students and staff to impart life-saving skills. Recognizing most cardiac arrests occur outside hospitals, the course aims to improve India’s low 9% non-medical life-saving skills training. In partnership with Bangalore Baptist Hospital, the three-month course includes hands-on experience and testing.
