Civic apathy in Bengaluru is under scrutiny after a Canadian YouTuber’s video showing a completely unusable pavement went viral, prompting the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) into action. Following a cleanup, the BBMP commissioner was seen in a subsequent video sharing a meal with volunteers on the same pavement. This incident occurred shortly after a school bus fell into a pothole in the city and students released an SOS video about the dire state of the roads. One student stated, "This cannot be the new normal." The students highlighted that their daily commute is over two hours for a 40-kilometer distance, impacting their studies and well-being. Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has announced an allocation of 1100 crore rupees for road development across the state. #bengaluru #civicapathy #bbmp #itwebvideos #bengalururoads #potholes #badroads #fixourroads #karnataka #viralvideo #studentsos #urbanwoes #infrastructure #cleanbengaluru #citizenaction #bangalore
