The Cabinet Committee on Security has approved a ₹63,887 crore deal with France for 26 Rafale Marine fighter jets for the Indian Navy. The jets will operate from INS Vikrant and INS Vikramaditya. The deal includes 22 single-seater fighters, 4 trainers, weapons, simulators, and logistics support. Deliveries are expected by 2031. The Rafale Marines share 80-90% commonality with Indian Air Force Rafales, aiding in logistics and interoperability.
