Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak promised strict measures, stating, ‘If any listed hospital does not provide free treatment under Ayushman Bharat, we will take action against them, blacklist them, and impose penalties’. In response to the findings, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh acknowledged implementation gaps and announced a new universal health scheme for the state, the Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana, to cover all residents.
