The Axiom Mission 4 crew has returned to Earth aboard the SpaceX Dragon capsule ‘Grace’ after approximately 20 days in space. The crew, including Commander Peggy Whitson and Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, splashed down and was met by a recovery vessel. The mission, which began with a liftoff on June 25, included 18 days on the International Space Station. The reentry process visibly charred the spacecraft, rendering the capsule non-reusable. Following the successful splashdown, the focus shifted to the crew’s egress. Commander Peggy Whitson was the first to exit, all smiles. A glimpse inside the capsule showed Group Captain Shukla also smiling, with one of the commentators noting, "Ladies and gentlemen, Group Captain Shukla. All smiles… which means he’s doing OK."
