The alleged molestation of two Australian cricketers in Indore has drawn sharp criticism of the Madhya Pradesh government, with opposition leaders blaming the ruling BJP for failing to ensure safe spaces for women. The BJP, however, harped that the government acted swiftly and arrested the accused, identified as Aqeel Khan.
The two Australian players, who are participating in the Women’s World Cup being hosted by India, were "touched inappropriately" by Khan, who was on a bike.
