A pro-Palestinian march organized by the Palestine Action Group will proceed across the Sydney Harbour Bridge as an authorized event, following a Supreme Court judge’s decision to reject a prohibition order sought by NSW Police. The police had requested the order citing safety concerns, as the rally, planned in support of Palestinians amid the ongoing war in Gaza, could attract up to 50,000 participants. The court was informed on Friday that the march will begin with attendees gathering at Lang Park, located at the corner of York, Grosvenor, and Lang streets, before proceeding to the bridge. While a prohibition order would not have banned participation, it would have left participants vulnerable to offenses such as blocking roads or traffic. The judge’s ruling ensures the event remains legally protected.
