DataOps firm Astronomer’s CEO, Andy Byron, has resigned following a scandal at a Coldplay concert which also involved the firm’s HR head, Kristen Cabot. In a statement, the company announced the board of directors had accepted the resignation, stating that "the company’s standard wasn’t met." The New York-based unicorn company, founded in 2018, confirmed that a search for a new CEO is underway. The resignation followed a board-initiated investigation after an incident at a Coldplay event involving the CEO went viral. The board said that leaders are expected to set the standard in conduct and accountability. There has been no official update regarding any action taken against the HR head, Kristen Cabot, who is the Chief People’s Officer at the company.
