Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla arrived in his hometown of Lucknow to a grand welcome. He was received at the airport by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak, who called it a ‘historic moment for Lucknow’. The city has prepared for his arrival with hoardings and road reconstruction. A victory parade is scheduled to start from G20 Chauraha, and Shukla is also slated to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. An emotional reunion with his family took place upon his arrival. Due to security arrangements, the astronaut will not be staying at his residence but at a government guest house, where his family can meet him. Shukla’s return is being marked by significant preparations across the city.
