The Election Commission of India (ECI) announces the poll schedules for assembly elections in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Keralam and Puducherry during a press conference at 4:00 pm on March 15 (Sunday). Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, recently visited these poll-bound states and the Union Territory earlier this month, including a trip to West Bengal on March 10, to assess poll preparedness. Special intensive revisions of voters’ lists have concluded, with final electoral rolls now published to ensure updated and accurate voter data across all regions.
