The Assam Police Special Task Force arrested eight suspected terrorists of the Ansarul Bangla organisation during operations in Assam, West Bengal, and Kerala. The module, with handlers in Bangladesh and Pakistan, aimed to establish sleeper cells in India. Suspects were allegedly planning to assassinate RSS and Hindu leaders. One Bangladeshi national was arrested in Kerala, two from Bengal, and five from Assam.
