Following India’s hat-trick of wins against Pakistan to secure the Asia Cup, Captain Surya Kumar Yadav made a significant announcement. He stated he will donate his entire match fees from the tournament to the Indian Army and the families of the Pahalgam terror attack victims. "I personally want to give my match fees of all the games which I have played in this tournament to the Indian Army," Yadav said. The victory was marked by controversy when the Indian team refused to accept the trophy from Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the PCB and ACC Chairman. This led to Naqvi reportedly leaving with the trophy. Subsequently, the Pakistan captain announced their team would donate its match fee to the kin of those who died in ‘Operation Sindoor’.
