This followed the Indian team’s refusal to shake hands, stating it was their right as they stood in solidarity with victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. A key quote from the Indian camp was, "playing is their duty but not shaking hands, that is their right." Sources indicate the International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to reject the PCB’s demand. If Pakistan forfeits the match, they will be eliminated from the tournament.
