Thousands of people are crossing this border to seek shelter in Syria following recent attacks on Hezbollah headquarters in Beirut. The Bekaa Valley, a Hezbollah stronghold, has been a target of Israeli strikes since last October. Wani reports that the border is poorly controlled, allowing easy passage between Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq.
