The Supreme Court has granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal, with his release from Tihar Jail expected later today. Kejriwal’s counsel requested that the release order be sent to Tihar Jail, a request the court agreed to. Upon his release, Kejriwal will head directly to his official residence in Civil Lines. The bail was granted subject to Kejriwal depositing bail bonds worth 10 lakhs with two sureties of like amount. The Supreme Court has criticised the CBI, calling Kejriwal’s arrest unjustified.
