Art for Punjab: 170 Artists Unite in Exhibition for Flood Relief

In response to Punjab’s most severe floods since 1988, an art exhibition is being held in Chandigarh to raise funds for victims. The event, which runs from September 17 to September 25, features around 470 donated works from 170 artists across the nation. The collection includes paintings, photographs, sculptures, and printmaking from acclaimed artists such as Milind Mulik and Gur Charan Singh. So far, the initiative has raised over 7 lakh rupees, with all proceeds designated for flood relief. A speaker at the event made an appeal, stating, "Anybody and everybody who comes here, appreciates the art, buys a piece or two, it will be a great favor to the victims… they should come forward and buy this art which has been donated by artists very generously." The artworks are priced reasonably to encourage contributions from art lovers.
