Purie also addressed the power of tech giants like Google and Facebook, who he called the "world’s new editor-in-chiefs," and the challenge from large industrial houses entering the news business. He concluded by stressing the importance of telling the truth, stating that the future of truth and the health of our democracy depend on it.
