Archaeologists STUNNED by Ancient Norwegian Runestone | WION Podcast

Archaeologists in Norway have unearthed what could be the world’s oldest runestone, dating back nearly 2,000 years. Discovered near Tyrifjord, west of Oslo, the brownish stone carries mysterious runic inscriptions and may represent the earliest writing ever recorded in Scandinavia. Found in a cremation grave with bones and charcoal, the stone offers rare insight into Iron Age language use. Experts believe this could mark one of the first times runes were carved into stone. The discovery is being hailed as a breakthrough in understanding early Norse culture.
