In his speech delivered in the Rajya Sabha, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Opposition, particularly targeting the Congress. He vowed that it would be the BJP that would reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), asserting the party’s firm stance on national sovereignty. Shah didn’t hold back in confronting senior Congress leaders – he sharply rebuked former Home Minister, P. Chidambaram, questioning whether he felt any shame over past actions. He also recalled a controversial remark attributed to Digvijaya Singh, claiming Singh had blamed the RSS for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Turning to the Batla House encounter, Shah held Sonia Gandhi responsible for casting doubt on the police operation.
