Amit Shah On Op Sindoor: India Strikes 9 Terror Camps, 11 Airbases; Pakistan Calls For Ceasefire

Following a Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting on April 23, India suspended the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty and took several diplomatic actions against Pakistan. The armed forces were given operational freedom on April 30 to determine the targets and timing of a response. On May 7, nine terrorist camps inside Pakistan were destroyed, and on May 9, strikes were launched against eleven Pakistani airbases and defence installations. The speaker stated, “Pakistan ghutnon ke Bal hamaare DJMO ko phone kiya Ki bhaai band karo” (Pakistan, on its knees, called our DGMO to ask to stop it). Following the strikes, key terrorist figures, including relatives of Masood Azhar, were reported to have been killed or severely injured in operations. The actions were described as a direct hit to the heart of the terrorist infrastructure.
