The first batch of pilgrims for the Sri Amarnath Yatra 2025 has been flagged off from Jammu by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. 5,892 pilgrims in 310 vehicles left the base camp amid tight security arrangements. The Yatra will officially begin on July 3 via both Baltal and traditional Pahalgam routes. Devotees from across India are participating, chanting ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’. They express their intention to pray for the nation’s peace and prosperity. The authorities have deployed massive security cover for the pilgrimage. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha stated, ‘We are privileged to be able to host such wonderful and enthusiastic devotees and I hope that they all can send a message throughout the country that Jammu and Kashmir is ready.’
