For a third term, Ajit Doval will remain the National Security Advisor (NSA). Additionally, PK Mishra will still serve as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s principal secretary.
An official order states that Ajit Doval’s appointment would run concurrently with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s term or until further directives are issued.
The Personnel Ministry issued an order stating, "Ajit Doval, IPS (Retired), has been appointed as National Security Adviser with effect from 10.06.2024, by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet."
