An independent organisation has filed a petition seeking a court-monitored investigation into an airline tragedy. Concerns are raised over the non-release of raw flight data and cockpit conversations, as well as the impartiality of the current Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau probe, which includes officers from the regulator. The probe’s perceived lack of independence is heightened by the involvement of a country with commercial interests in the aircraft manufacturer. After 100 days, there is no timeline for a final report, and the preliminary report lacks safety recommendations. "These questions… go far beyond the single crash. They also touch upon the systemic gaps in accountability, empathy, and also the truth in aviation ecosystem and also public discourse."
