On July 12, 2025 Air India aircraft VT-TNQ A320 has reported ground turn back event at Riyadh due to fuel vapour smell after engine start
Aircraft was scheduled to operate AI922 Riyadh (RUH)- Mumbai (BOM)
As per Pilot After engine start up strong smell of fuel vapour in the cockpit and cabin. Both Engine were shutdown and the aircraft returned to bay with ATC approval
Engineering inspections are under progress further at Riyadh.
