An Air India passenger aircraft carrying 242 passengers crashed near Ahmedabad airport shortly after takeoff. The Boeing 787 was en route to London when the incident occurred. Emergency services, including seven fire engines, have been rushed to the spot. Thick black smoke is visible from the crash site, which is in the immediate vicinity of the airport premises. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
