The national task force set up under the chairmanship of the cabinet secretary on the safety of healthcare professionals on the instructions of the Supreme Court met on Tuesday for the first time. The home secretary and health secretary will hold a meeting with the states on Wednesday to discuss short-term measures for the security of medical professionals. The task force has been asked to put in place an enforceable action plan that will protect doctors from attacks from family members but also from sexual and physical assaults, basically ensuring workplace safety. The task force has received 300 to 400 suggestions, according to sources. Can doctors and health professionals finally be safe in this country?
