A stampede at the Shri Lairai Devi Jatra in Goa’s Shirgaon has resulted in at least seven deaths and over 18 injuries. The injured have been admitted to the Goa Medical College and North Goa District Hospital. Prime Minister Modi has expressed condolences, while Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has visited hospitals to assess the situation.
