The Indian government is contemplating the introduction of the One Nation One Election Bill, potentially in the current or next Parliament session. It’s suggested the bill may be sent to a Joint Parliamentary Committee for in-depth discussion after Cabinet approval of the Ramnath Kovind Committee’s report. The proposal, aiming for simultaneous Lok Sabha and state assembly polls, continues to progress. Meanwhile, Congress maintains focus on the Adani controversy, using Parliamentary sessions for protests and demonstrations. In Telangana, BRS MLAs were detained for protests against the Congress government over the same issue. Parliament is also set to host discussions on Constitution Day, with Prime Minister Modi scheduled to speak on December 14th. In weather updates, high altitude regions in Uttarakhand, including Badrinath and Auli, have experienced fresh snowfall, with Mussoorie witnessing its first December snow in over a decade. The Met Department predicts further rain and heavy snowfall across Uttarakhand. Gangotri Dham, Shimla, and neighbouring areas in Himachal Pradesh have also seen significant snowfall. Delhi’s temperatures are predicted to drop to 3 degrees Celsius from December 10th.
