India Today’s 6PM Prime, hosted by Akshita Nandagopal, reports that RG Kar doctors have ended their dharna outside the Kolkata Police Headquarters after meeting with Police Commissioner Vineet Goel. The doctors’ overall protest continues. In related news, the Supreme Court has been approached by the central government seeking adequate arrangements for CISF personnel deployed at RG Kar hospital. This follows the top court’s order for CISF security after the August 14th vandalism. The Centre has filed a contempt case against the West Bengal government for non-compliance.
