Samajwadi Party MLA Pooja Pal was expelled from the party for "anti-party activities" after praising Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during a state assembly discussion on the ‘Vision Document 2047.’ Pal commended Yogi’s zero-tolerance policy against crime, crediting it for delivering justice in her husband Raju Pal’s murder case, in which Atiq Ahmed and his brother were involved. Despite her expulsion, Pal reiterated her support for Yogi’s governance, emphasizing improved law and order in Prayagraj.The United States has warned that tariffs on Indian goods could increase further if President Donald Trump’s upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska fails to ease tensions over energy trade. "We’ve imposed secondary tariffs on India for purchasing Russian oil. If things don’t go well, sanctions or secondary tariffs could escalate," Bessent said in an interview with Bloomberg TV on Wednesday.
