6 Stories At 6: Pak Blames India For Train Hijack, MEA Shows Mirror
The brazen attack on press freedom and the ring-fenching of the Republic crew at Jadavpur University (JU) has uncovered Mamata’s patronage of the urban Naxals on campus.
India has strongly rejected Pakistan’s allegations of involvement in the Balochistan train hijacking, pointing out Pakistan’s issues with internal terrorism.

In Vadodara’s Karelibag area, a drunk driver crashed his vehicle, killing one woman and injuring several others. Now the driver is a law student, who literally ran over the law of the country. He rams into the vehicles and then jumps out of the car brazenly shouting another round , and chanting Om Namah Shivay. His name is Rakshita Chaurasia and he has been arrested. His companinion too has been arrested.
Vladimir Putin has said he agrees with the idea of a ceasefire in Ukraine, but that questions remain about the nature of a truce – as he set out a number of tough conditions for peace. Russia has send a list of demands to the US for a ceasefire deal to end the war against Ukraine.
This comes amid face-to-face talks and virtual discussions between Russian and American officials
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman put out a 6 point counter to Stalin govt slamming the Tamil nadu government’s move to replace the rupee symbol. Sitharaman said that the move ‘signals a dangerous mindset that weakens Indian unity and promotes secessionist sentiments under the pretence of regional pride’ and is a ‘completely avoidable example of language and regional chauvinism’.
