Rahul said he struggled to sit through and pay attention to the President’s speech. Claiming that ‘Make in India’ has failed, the Opposition leader in the Lok Sabha said China was 10 years ahead of India in developing and investing in Artificial Intelligence. He also mocked External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s front-row attendance at Trump’s inauguration as President claiming he went to the U.S in December to secure an invite for PM Modi. Invoking China to target the Centre yet again, Rahul alleged that Chinese forces were occupying Indian territory.
Samajwadi Party-backed Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan politicised the Mahakumbh stampede deaths. Claiming Kumbh has the most contaminated water, she said the bodies of those who perished in the stampede were dumped in the river because of which the water was contaminated. She claimed that the real issues that the country is grappling with were being brushed under the carpet. She alleged that the needs of the common people visiting the Kumbh were being ignored. An ex-serviceman was killed and his wife and daughter injured in a terrorist attack in J&K’s Kulgam district this morning…Officials say that terrorists fired at Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, his wife and daughter in Behibagh village of Kulgam. All the three injured persons were shifted to hospital ..Howwever, Manzoor Ahmad Wagay succumbed to critical injuries. Senior police and CRPF officers have rushed to the spot and the area has been cordoned off for searches.
