6 Stories At 6 LIVE: Hindus Attacked In West Bengal, Forced To Flee Homes | Guna Clashes During Hanuman Jayanti
Fresh Anti-Waqf protests have gripped the streets of West Bengal. This comes after at least 150 people have been arrested in connection with the violence and mayhem in West Bengal’s Murshidabad and Nadia districts.
This follows shortly after central security agencies, including the BSF and the CAPF, were deployed in the state on the orders of the Calcutta High Court. This comes as at least 3 people have been killed in the violence where Anti-Waqf mobs torched vehicles, vandalised homes, and looted shops of Hindus in West Bengal.
In fact, the state’s BJP unit has said that over 400 Hindus were forced out of their homes following the violence in West Bengal.
Tension erupted in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna on Saturday evening after stones were pelted during a Hanuman Jayanti procession in the Karnailganj area.
The incident occurred around 7:30 pm, prompting immediate deployment of police and administrative personnel near the site, which was close to a mosque.
Authorities confirmed that the situation was swiftly brought under control. Police have arrested nine individuals in connection with the incident so far.
