The row over the burnt cash found in Delhi High Court Judge Justice Yashwant Varma’s official residence continues to escalate. In the latest, the Allahabad High Court Bar Association has launched an idefinite strike outside the Allahabad High Court demanding for the impeachment of Justice Yashwant Varma. They are also pressing for an FIR to be filed against Justice Varma in the case. The ongoing protest comes against the Supreme Court Collegium’s order to transfer Justice Yashwant Varma to the Allahabad High Court. The President of the Allahabad Bar Association has said that the repatriation of Justice Varma to his home court is not a punishment but a prize.
The anti-terror operations in the valley in Kathua have entered day 3. Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district found four loaded M4 carbine magazines, two grenades, a bulletproof jacket, sleeping bags, and food supplies on Monday as they intensified their search for terrorists hiding in the area. This comes as the Special forces of the Indian Army along with the elite National Security Guard and Jammu and Kashmir Police are leading the operations from the front
