Prime Minister Modi has met with top defence officials and given the armed forces operational freedom to respond. India has launched diplomatic and economic measures against Pakistan, including approaching the Asian Development Bank to choke Pakistan’s financial funds and banning Pakistani ships from Indian ports. The Russian President has expressed support for India’s fight against terrorism. India is expected to raise concerns over Pakistan’s $7 billion IMF aid package, alleging misuse of funds for terror activities. The country is considering pushing for Pakistan’s return to the FATF grey list, which could restrict foreign investments and increase scrutiny of Pakistan’s finances.
