A 26-year-old model from Puducherry, known for challenging skin bias and winning a world black pageant, has died by suicide. The victim consumed sleeping pills on July 5th and passed away in Puducherry. She had been fighting depression and fair skin bias throughout her life. The model, named San Rachel, was vocal about breaking skin color stereotypes and advocating for women’s security. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
