Tahawwur Rana, a key conspirator in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, has been extradited to India after 17 years. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has prepared for his arrival with heightened security measures at their headquarters. Rana will be formally arrested upon landing and is expected to be produced in court within 24 hours. Survivors of the 26/11 attacks are calling for a speedy trial. The NIA chief, Sadanand Date, who was involved in countering the 26/11 attacks as Mumbai’s Additional Commissioner, is overseeing the investigation.
