Next, he will impose tariffs on Earth for the audacity of revolving around the Sun instead of him. Trump is setting a dangerous precedent. He is different from all his modern-day predecessors, and not in the flattering, history-books way. Trump is the first leader to openly campaign for a Nobel Peace Prize. He is also the first to happily accept a second-hand Peace Prize. He claims to be a peacemaker who stopped eight wars, then proceeds to bomb a country, capture its president, and casually declare himself President instead. Trump wants the world to move in his direction or face tariffs, even if that world is an uninhabited island. Under Trump, anything is possible. He dismisses boos with a middle finger, brands his predecessor “Sleepy Biden,” discards diplomacy entirely, and spares neither friends nor foes. Trump is whimsical. Trump is weird. Trump is out of control. Trump is dangerous.
